I already have a digital subscription to KANDY. Does it include access to the iPad edition?
Yes, the iPad edition is now free for digital subscribers.
I tried to create my account, but I got an error message saying “This email address is already registered” or “This login is already registered.”
Try signing into the app anyway. You may have accidentally tapped the Submit button more than once, and it may be that your account was created the first time.
I have previously registered on kandymag.com, but I forgot my password. Can I reset my password?
You can reset your login password from within the app by tapping the link in the Sign In box.
Common Technical Questions
I received the error message, “Memory Usage / Availability Low”. How do I resolve this?
This is usually an indication you are running a lot of programs and are not aware of it. To free up memory, double click your home button at the bottom of the iPad. Your running programs will appear at the bottom of the screen. Gently push down on one of the app icons until they start shaking. Press the minus sign on each app that you want to quit running. The app remains on your iPad, you just terminated the program from running.
App/iTunes (GENERAL)
I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Now it is asking me to repurchase issues I already bought. How do I get my issues back?
Click on the subscribe options button. Click “Restore Purchases” from the choices presented on the screen. You will be asked for your iTunes password .

What do I get with the KANDY iPad app?
The app allows you to download and view issues of KANDY’s iPad edition. You can also purchase single issues or subscriptions from within the app.
What editorial content is included in the KANDY iPad edition?
The iPad edition contains everything in the digital magazine, from cover to cover, with enhanced audio, video, and image files.
Will the app run on my iPhone/Android/BlackBerry smartphone?
No. The KANDY iPad app is designed for a larger screen. We hope to offer apps for other devices in the future.
How am I notified when the latest issue is available to download?
When you open the KANDY app, it’ll tell you if there’s a new issue ready for download. You can also get update notices from the App Store when new issues are available.
Can I share issues I purchased from my iPad app with a friend?
No, sorry—not at this time.
Subscriptions
Can I subscribe to the iPad edition of KANDY without buying a online subscription?
Yes. Your iPad subscription automatically grants you access to the online edition. Subscriptions are as low as $1.99 a month for 2 issues per month.
Can I subscribe to both the digital and iPad editions of KANDY?
If you have a digital subscription, you don’t need a separate subscription for the iPad edition. Just download the KANDY app on your iPad, tap the red button under “Current Subscribers,” and fill in the requested information.
How much does the KANDY iPad app cost?
The app itself is free. Once you have it, you can purchase single issues for $0.99, set up a money-saving subscription ($1.99 a month for bi-weekly issues, $0.95 for 13 issues or $15.95 for 26 issues.
Can I subscribe to the KANDY iPad edition from my iPad?
Yes. You can buy a subscription on your iPad from iTunes. Or just follow the “Subscribe” link within the KANDY iPad app.
How are subscriptions renewed?
If you buy a subscription through the App Store or your iTunes account, your subscription with Apple will automatically renew until you cancel it.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Your subscription will automatically renew until you cancel it through your iTunes account. If you’d like to turn off auto-renew, you can do so by changing your settings in iTunes.
Single-Issue Purchases
Can I buy single issues of KANDY on the iPad without subscribing?
Yes. Single copies of the current issue are available through the app for $0.99 without a subscription. But you can save money by setting up a subscription for just $1.99 a month and get new issues every 2 weeks plus receive access to all back issues.
Can I purchase back issues of KANDY on my iPad?
Yes. All back issues of the iPad edition are available through the app for $0.99.
